I’ve never really set goals for the new year before, but I think now is a good time to start. 2017 was a year of investments and laying foundations. This year will be a year of improvement and creation. These goals will help me to become even more of a goddess.
I plan to start working out for at least one hour a day so that I can lose weight. I also want to start cooking at home more so that I can control what I’m eating. Cooking is going to be the toughest for me because I never know what to eat and I rarely cook. Furthermore, meal prepping is difficult because I get tired of eating the same food all week and I end up wasting the last meal because I want to taco bell instead. Plus, I love eating desserts and pastries and anything else that’s full of sugar and not good for you. And did I forget to mention that I don’t like vegetables? Yea. I don’t like vegetables. Eating healthy food is gonna be the biggest obstacle for me, but I’m going to try my best.
In terms of my finances, I want to pay off at least $5,000 of my student loans. I feel like this will be possible if I pay some of my loan every time I get paid instead of once a month. I can also budget my spending on eating out since I’m trying to cook more. Honestly, I don’t really buy that many things so this should be feasible.
I want to start creating shorting films this year as well. By the end of the year I want to make at least two short films, some music videos, and finish writing a webseries. I have not filmed anything since I graduated. Hopefully once I get in the groove of things I will be able to create without fear. I’ll probably need help from friends, but I need to learn how to seek assistance when necessary.
I also want to consistently write articles for this blog and release content once a week.
What are some goals that you have for this year? I would love to hear about them in the comments below.
