YA’LL!!! I can’t believe that Shangela didn’t win. She performed the best out of all four of the remaining girls. She was consistent throughout the entire season. Even her interviews were hilarious. Shangela made me want to watch Game of Thrones because she kept using GoT references. Her runway looks were always on point except fro the challenge where she had to make the outfit herself. In fact, that was the only time that I remember her being in bottom two. She delivered for every challenge. When BenDeLaCreme left the only other option for me was Shangela.
I understand that people that watch Trixie’s show were rooting for Trixie, but her TV show has nothing to do with her performance on this season. She literally didn’t get it together until halfway through the season. And even when she was one of the top queens she never won a lip sync battle. Therefore, none of the other queens had anything against her because she never sent anyone home. If my career or time on the show ended because another queen sent me home, I wouldn’t vote for them. Let’s be real. I would feel some type of way. Trixie did better towards the end, but even her final lip sync was a bit underwhelming. I know that if Shangela would’ve been chosen as one of the top 2, she would’ve had a memorable performance.
As for Kennedy, I could see the other queens voting for her because of her message. In terms of the competition, I thought she would be at the bottom with Bebe. I think the reason she didn’t win the lip sync battle was because she focused more on dancing than lip singing. While she was jumping around and twirling in the air, her wig would cover her face and I couldn’t see if she was even singing. I feel like the most important thing in lip singing is the emotion that you convey and your facial expressions. If the judges can’t see your face then it’s over for you. Hence, Valentina was asked to remove her mask.
Season 3 Moments
When Kennedy eliminated Milk I saw it coming a mile away. Kennedy didn’t even need to talk to the girls to see who she was going to send home. Milk had been irking my nerves up until that point. She was on a high horse even though she wasn’t in the top. She even had the audacity to say that the judges wanted her to stay. Girl!! What?? The judges wanted you to stay, but they put you in the bottom 2????? Are you crazy? I’m happy that Kennedy brought her back down to reality and they were able to talk about it and move on from it. When Milk came back, I realized she didn’t even know she was coming off that way and she humbled herself. Now I can say that I kind of like Milk.
Another moment that had me waaay upset was when Bebe eliminated Aja!!! First of all, Bebe wouldn’t have made it to the top without Aja’s help. Not only did Bebe not give Aja credit for her help, her ungrateful ass sent Aja home??!!!! What kind of messed up sh*t is that??? And then when Aja came back and addressed Bebe about it, Bebe acted like she didn’t care and didn’t even try to listen to her. How rude!! I don’t even know how Bebe made it to the top four. It was probably because BenDeLaCreme sent herself home.
Speaking of BenDeLaCreme, I kinda saw her sending herself home. When she kept saying she couldn’t send any of the other girls home, I knew she was either going to choose nobody or choose herself. I didn’t see her writing her name with the nail polish though. I knew Ru had to be shook because she made all these rules for these queens to follow and BenDeLaCreme was like “Nah. Fuck your rules. Fuck your hall of fame I’m gonna do me. I didn’t come to prove anything to you or anybody else. I came for me, myself, and I that’s all I need in the end.” She never said any of that. That’s just my interpretation of what she did. But she did say that she didn’t really care about the crown and title. I do feel like Ru has become the goddess of Drag Queens and the other queens will do whatever she says without question though. It was kind of refreshing to see someone choose their own rules for once.
