Drag Race 10.7: Monique Snatched My Edges and My Heart

I know I’m starting in the middle of the season with this review, but I can no longer hold my tongue. I can’t believe that Monique was sent home this week!!!! 🙁 In my opinion, she made this season what it was and without her I fee like I don’t even need to continue watching it. She was funny in the confessionals and while interacting with the other queens. She was even funny during the lip sync. While she danced around the stage, I couldn’t help but laugh at the fact that she didn’t know the words. And then when she did that cartwheel I almost died! She is such a performer and she has the personality. I was laughing and crying because I knew she was about to go home. Then, when I watched untucked and saw that she didn’t practice even though she didn’t know the words I was kind of mad. I feel like  she gave up while trying at the same time. Instead of engaging with The Vixen and the drama backstage, she should’ve been engaging with that ipod and lyric sheet. Facts are facts Amercia, Heart brought so many things that she will be remembered for like her Heeheehee laugh.

Although she struggled during Snatch Game and her outfit wasn’t put together well, I wanted her to send The Vixen home. The Vixen pretty much turned Untucked into the Vixen show. I understand that she was mad that the other girls said they would send her home, but Ru asked them. Their opinion has no bearing on who actually goes home. Unlike in All Stars where they sent my girl Shangela home. Which was still BS and will remain BS forever. At least The Vixen had the opportunity to lip sync for her life. Shangela didn’t even get that chance.

Back to the mess that was The Vixen, she was completely out of line. In previous episodes where Aquaria started with her and tried to play victim, I was on her side. Her rage was valid. When Eureka wanted to get a rise out of her, I was on The Vixen’s side. But in this episode I couldn’t agree with her. I’m all for people expressing their anger whenever it makes sense. I clearly get angry myself all the time. But this time Vixen comes off as delusional and jealous. When she went off on Eureka in front of the judges and kept cutting her off, it showed her unprofessionalism. Also, I could understand Vixen being mad that Eureka was doing well while she wasn’t, but they had already squashed their beef and saying that Eureka should go home even though she did amazing in Snatch game didn’t make sense. If anything, she was showing her personal feelings for Eureka when the judges were asking about the performance for the week.

Furthermore, Vixen can’t be mad at the other queens for saying her name. They were being objective like they were supposed to be. Calling them disloyal makes no sense because at the end of the day it’s a competition. It’s not Rupaul’s friend race. I completely blame the Vixen for distracting Monique and the rest of the competition from preparing for the lip sync. In a way her anger wasn’t valid, but it sure was calculated. She made time to practice without letting anyone else say their piece. I still love Monique, but I can’t wait to see the drama unfold next week.

Do you think Vixen’s tantrum was acceptable? Will you miss Monique as much as me? Let me know in the comments below?
